That's all you have to say about it or are you out having too much fun on it?

Congrats! Just wait until you get past break-in. It gets even better. Or when you add a J Costa variator. That'll be my first mod to my Tmax.

So I went to the dealer today to order the parts for my Vino and they had two T-Maxes in the showroom. One blue and one yellow, this will definetly be my next purchase. I've been torn between it and the V-Star 950 and I think that I will be happier with it than a regular motorcycle. Momma wants something that we can both ride two up on comfortably and my only other option in the motorcyle side for me is a Harley Road King or larger. So as I sign the papers on the house that baby is mine.

So i am getting closer and closer to buying a TMax and having been doing more research online and on maxi forums. It seems like the J Costa mod is a must since the one common complaint I find about the scooter is that the bike doesnt wake up until you hit thirty or so miles an hour. With my move to a hillier and curvier part of Florida my Vino isn't quite getting it anymore. I would really like to keep my Vino but I am more than ready to move on to bigger and better bikes. I would like to hear from you guys out there that have bought them or have had a chance to ride them what you think.

I had a Vino 125 and it was great for around town and on the flat portions of Pacific Coast Highway. On the hillier parts... well, it would drop to 45 mph and I'd have to ride on the shoulder.

I traded my Vino 125 (modded with overbore kit, etc.) for my Tmax. Very different scooter in that it's closer to a sportsbike than smaller form-factor scooter. The Vino was more handy for zipping into/out-of smaller spaces and could make sharper turns The Tmax. while not as nimble at low speeds, can go much faster and is a hoot on the twisties. I have had my Tmax up on a twisty stretch of road called Ortega Highway and it was fast, fun and very confidence inspiring.

I like the TMax because it looks sportier and while I would love to get a sport bike while I'm still young Momma wont fit on it comfortably because I'm a big guy. The TMax gives me the best of all worlds and its at a price that I can get a NEW bike without financing. I'm also not planning on modding the TMax for power more for looks and comfort the only "power" mod I will do will eventually do the exhaust and the tranny.

Urbestfriend thinks the TMAX is a wonderful choice. Remember, I had over 14k
on my Vino 125. I've passed it onto my older son. I hadn't considered a larger
bike, but stumbled onto two "can't beat em" deals. One is the Kymco Grandvista
250 and then a 2009 Kymco Xciting 250. What advantages have I found?

Larger wheels, heavier weight and the extra power makes for more secure ride
for me. No more wind buffeting, no more traffic on my tail and still gets 65 mpg
running at 65-70 mph. I actually can take my hands off the grips on the bigger bikes.

I've found the Kymco's easier to work on than the Vino,
but the Vino is still tops in my book. My choice would've been the 250cc X-Max
available in the UK. Maybe someday, I'll take the plunge for a 400cc or above.

My Vino is great but where I live in Florida now the 125 just cant cut it. I'm ready to do longer rides in my area and most roads have a posted speed of 50mph or more. When I lived in Orlando it was a perfect scooter for the job and I really dont want to trade it in but I might just have to in order to get the deal I want on a TMax.

Shame you couldn't keep the Vino for shorter trips and use the Tmax for the distance...Yeah, I know, cake and eat it too but it would be cool if you could swing a deal to have both.

Doc has the right idea. I traded my highly modified Vino and didn't get too much money out of it. In hind sight, I would have kept the Vino and still bought the Tmax. There's always plenty of shorter / nearby errands that the Vino would do just great on. And the weather is usually pretty nice in Florida... so good to have a couple of options for riding.

I have over 6000 miles on my TMax now. I have to say it is one of the best all around two wheeled vehicles I have ever owned. Now if it just had one more cylinder..... LOL ........... G

If it had one more cylinder k6gad, I think you and I would be fighting for who would be first in line to get one! A 750 cc Tmax would be a hoot.

One guy on the majestyusa forum is selling his yellow Tmax for $3900. That's an absolute steal on a year-old maxi scooter! Guy is in Michigan in case anyone nearby is intested and looking...

rtking..... no kidding. I have heard rumors about a 750 TMax but I don't think it's going to happen. $3900 is a steal for a low mileage TMax. Of course you can only ride it for three months out of the year in Michigan because the rest of the year the roads are FROZEN. LOL YIKES! I see you live in Huntington Beach... When I was a kid we used to hang out at lifeguard tower 5 all summer long. Love that place! Ciao!........ G
